Most of us have been on a calorie-reduced diet before. For a few days everything is Jim Dandy, until you start dreaming of a trip to the candy store to buy lollypops, peanut brittle, Snicker’s bars, peanut butter cups and chocolate truffles. You don’t have to give up sweets to stay on a weight loss program. Your weight management plan just has to include a little sanity in the form of sugarless candies, natural chocolates and healthy alternatives. Chocolate lover’s diet Several years ago, the major diet guru Jenny Craig had a special weight loss menu option called the Chocolate Lover’s plan. It meant dieters could choose a small chocolate cake for dessert, chocolate peanut butter bars for snacks and a few other chocolate treats. Even this weight loss giant knew eating a few small treats throughout the day could not stand in the way of weight loss.
However, therein lays the problem. How to have just one chocolate or candy anything and still lose weight? Enter the sugarless candy. Note, I did not say “sugarfree.” Candy made the proper sugarless way promotes better health and can actually enhance your weight loss! Sugarless candy and chocolate, properly made, means you never know the difference, but your bathroom scale will. Think about how much more effective and healthy your diet will be when you incorporate sugarless candies and chocolate. The key to weight management is usually moderation. Choose natural, organic foods along with sugarless treats. Traditional sweetners have that traditional sweetner aftertaste. Sugarless candy need not. Sample diet plan Your weight management plan should include five to six mini-meals or maxi-snacks a day. Start off your day with a balanced breakfast of eggs, sprouted grain bread and fruit. Then, a few hours later, have a morning snack containing protein such as yogurt. At that time, feel free to indulge in a piece of sugarless candy. After a lunch such as soup and salad with a small amount of lean protein such as chicken, indulge again in a piece of sugarless chocolate. After a healthful dinner of fish and steamed vegetables, you will stay happy and content on your diet by eating yet another piece of natural chocolate or sugarless candy for dessert. Dieting need not be painful. Sweets’ lovers the world is yours! Author: Fred Goldman is the Founder of D-lectables. His company imports and manufactures high-quality sugarless candy. The lack of water could be why you are not losing weight. Why is water crucial for losing weight? We all know that water is the foundation to every health and fitness goal. Water is the most valuable substance you take in and has a huge variety of essential functions that are the life source. Let’s take a look at a few of the functions water performs in your body and the reasons why it is so important to drink enough water: 1. Water makes up approximately 75% of your body. 2. Controlling your body temperature and keeping your body regulating in different situations and actions. 3. It assists in digestion, absorption and assimilation which give you the complete vitamins, minerals, and nutrients from the foods you eat. 4. Water helps with the excretion of waste from the bowels and kidneys. It will help you to avoid constipation and will relieve stress on your kidneys. 5. Water makes up 92% of your blood that helps with nutrient distribution. 6. Will help keep your skin smoother and healthier. 7. Lubricates and heals the joints and muscles. These are just a few of the important things water accomplishes in your system. So what? Why is water so important for weight loss? Many people search for appetite suppressants to avoid their hunger when the best way to feel fuller is to drink more water. People who don’t drink enough water throughout the day frequently develop hunger pains more than those who drink enough water. Drinking cold water is the best choice. When you feel hungry drink a big glass of water and wait five minutes to see if you are still hungry. Always keep a bottle of water with you, taking sips every so often and see the affects it has on your appetite. Another thing that you should know is that drinking water consistently throughout the day will keep you from over eating, having cravings for sweets and can accelerate your energy levels the natural way. There are many other benefits as well, but these are a few that will help you lose weight. Are you drinking enough during the day to keep yourself hydrated? Drink when you feel hungry or thirsty. Do not drink a large amount all at once. You must also consider how much you sweat and amount of daily exercise as these are indicators that you will need to increase your water intake. I recommend that you don’t drink sodas and sugary drinks that are at your local grocery store. These drinks are high in unhealthy sugars and will cause health problems such as weigh gain. You will also become addicted and will make lose weight harder. How do you know whether or not you are consuming enough water? 1. Headaches. Headaches are the most common symptom of dehydration. Water flushes out all the toxins in your body and makes up 75% up your brain. No wonder a lack of water causes a headache! 2. Dry mouth and bad breath. When not enough water is frequently passing through your mouth to rinse away the food particles, bacteria can create dry mouth syndrome and bad breath over time. 3. Reduced urine output or dark urine. 200 liters of water is passed through your kidney’s every day so a lack of water will limit your kidney’s filtering ability, resulting in darker urine. 4. Lack of concentration and fatigue. With a built up amount of toxins in your body due to a lack of water, you will see a drop in your energy level as your body is concentration on dealing with the unwanted toxins in your body. 5. Constipation. Water in your body will be directed to more vital functions resulting in painful and harder stools from the lack of water. 6. Skin. Water keeps your skin looking and feeling clear and smooth so if your skin develops dry spots, coloring, and roughness, it could be an indication of you is dehydrating your body. Final thoughts If you are serious about losing weight and be healthier, you must drink enough water each day drinking water is an absolute must. The B5 vitamin is also known as Pantothenic Acid. The B5 vitamin is the most prolific of all the vitamins and is found in every type of food. In fact, it is impossible for a person to consume less B5 vitamin than they need. That means that there is no little possibility that a person can have a B5 vitamin deficiency. For this reason, there is actually no recommended daily amount that health professionals can state as everyone obtains more than enough from their normal food consumption. However, even though there is no need to calculate a recommended daily allowance it does not mean that the B5 vitamin is not vital for a healthy body and mind. In fact, the B5 vitamin is essential for turning food into energy amongst other functions. The B5 vitamin is responsible for taking the fats and carbohydrates into energy. Some B5 vitamin can be found in almost every food whether it is animal or vegetable. Obviously there are some sources of the B5 vitamin that are better than others but a balanced diet will provide more than enough. The foods with the highest B5 vitamin content are organ meats, salmon, eggs, beans, milk, and whole grains. It is worth noting that the B5 vitamin is lost when grains are milled into flour and tends not to beaded back in. Therefore, processed grain foods such as bread, pasta, rice, breakfast cereal, and baked goods are not good sources of the B5 vitamin. The B5 vitamin is the most effective when it is combined with other B vitamins especially thiamin or B1, riboflavin or B2, niacin or B3, pyridoxine or B6, and biotin. Along with these other B vitamins, the B5 vitamin is an integral part in a number of processes. The most important of these is the production of energy from food that is consumed and this is known as the Kreb’s cycle. The B5 vitamin is also required for releasing energy from fats. Interestingly, the B5 vitamin is also considered to be helpful in reducing stress. This is chiefly due to the fact that during periods of stress, the body produces more of certain hormones such as adrenalin and these require the B5 vitamin. There are many theories as to the benefits of the B5 vitamin but there is no need for the majority of people to actively seek out foods that are high in B5 as they are likely to be consuming far more than is needed already. There are no adverse effects to consuming too much B5 vitamin. To read about vitamin a foods and vitamin e foods, visit the Vitamin Information site.
