Polyposis of the colon is a growth which is non-malignant and therefore is not cancerous. The polyps which form on a mucous membrane then becomes the illness polyposis of the colon as the growth then lines the bowel within the body. There can be a number of lumps which are formed or a single growth of which can come in numerous shapes and sizes and will depend on the individual suffered.
